On September 1, Ufa international marathon took place for the fifth time. More than five thousand athletes from 30 countries and 220 cities took part in it.

Five marathon distances were organized: 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km and 2 km, and also children’s run and relay race. Start and finish lines were in «Dinamo» stadium. Every participant got a starter pack with a t-shirt and a unique medal at the finish.

Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin awarded the participants – marathon winners among women.

«The number of marathon participants grows every year. Our city becomes the sports capital of Russia. I am sure, in the next years this marathon will expand the boundaries. Such sport events will further be held on the high level », marked Ulfat Mustafin.

Ufa international marathon is organized in the capital of Bashkortostan since 2015. Currently this sport event is in top-10 of the largest marathons of Russia and in top-100 brands of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

This year within the marathon, a city fest with variety of activities was held. Mixfight fights, bodybuilding championship, bike show, street basketball, a show with the strongest man of the republic – Elbrus Nigmatullin and other entertaining events took place.
