The Museum of the History of Ufa opened in the capital of Bashkortostan

On September 13, the opening ceremony of the Museum of the History of Ufa took place in the capital of Bashkortostan. It is located in the house № 72 on Lenin Street.

Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Raif Abdrakhimov, Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin, deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan and others took part in the event.

The Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin greeted all ceremony participants.

«Today we have a significant, truly historical event! We open the museum of Ufa, which contains unique exhibits and materials. It reflects the glorious path of our city for 445 years. I am sure it will contribute to a more complete picture of Ufa and its history for the younger generation. And it will become one of the main attractions of the city» he said.

The work of the Museum of the History of Ufa is aimed at creating favorable conditions for increasing the cultural level of citizens' development, preserving the spiritual and cultural potential, enriching it through the introduction of innovative technologies and increasing the prestige of the municipality. Residents and visitors of the city will be able to familiarize themselves with the history of Ufa in an interesting way and get in touch with the cultural values of previous generations of Ufa residents.

As part of its creation, extensive work was carried out to collect archival material and exhibits. The museum fund accepted about 900 items. Nearly 2,000 items dedicated to the history of Ufa are in temporary storage. Today, the museum has more than one thousand exhibits.

The museum is a synthesis of multimedia technology and traditional museum exhibits. It consists of four exhibition halls, in which four historical blocks are presented.

The first block is dedicated to the XVI-XVII century. The history of the foundation and development of Ufa of this period is reflected here, a model of the Ufa fortress is presented.

The second block shows the development of Ufa against the background of industrial and architectural transformations of several centuries.

The third block “Ufa Soviet and Modern” reflected the events of the Civil War and the rule of the Ufa Directory, industrial development and peaceful construction, the Great Patriotic War and the evacuation, the achievements of the era of the construction of communism and modern development, new industries and new social, economic and political relations.

In the fourth block, which is called "City - looking to the future", visitors can see the virtual plan for the general development of Ufa until 2050.

In the near future, the museum plans to hold conferences, mobile temporary exhibitions, views of historical films. Tour guides will also conduct excursions for everyone.
