Radii Khabirov reviewed the preparedness of hospitals to receive patients with coronavirus infection

On April 1, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Radii Khabirov reviewed the preparedness of medical institutions to receive patients with a new coronavirus infection. The Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin attended the event.

Thus, the city clinical hospital of the Demsky district is currently converted into an infectious diseases hospital with 215 beds. There are places for adults and children with coronavirus, as well as for pregnant women and women in labor who may be infected with COVID-19. According to the head doctor Fanil Shamigulov, in the shortest possible time it was possible to complete all the necessary work, bring oxygen to the wards, equip the hospital with appropriate equipment. The Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Maxim Zabelin, noted that the hospital is fully prepared to receive patients.

Radii Khabirov asked how the coronavirus is being treated, whether the necessary medications are sufficient, and thanked the doctors for their important and responsible work in difficult epidemiological conditions, noting that the infectious disease doctors will receive additional allowances.

«I can’t set the task to make the number of patients less. It depends on how we all work together. But from a psychological and human point of view, it is important that we do not have a single death. It will be immediately considered as an emergency. As soon as the patient appears, bring all the best forces - leading doctors, experience, medicines, and gentle care. This situation is a challenge for all of us.» said Radii Khabirov.

In Demsky district, the Head of the region spoke to a group of social activists who, together with the city’s Public Security Center and law enforcement agencies, patrol the streets of the district, reminding residents to comply with the self-isolation regime. Patrol teams include deputies, volunteers, apartment building chairs, internationalist warriors, and other combat veterans.

Radii Khabirov thanked them for the initiative and noted the importance of their work.

The new clinical and diagnostic infectious center, which is being built in the Ufa district, will be ready to receive the first patients in June. According to project manager Dmitry Dudko, a hospital project was prepared in just eight days. And already on April 14, they plan to turnkey a hostel for doctors here. At the same time, republican enterprises are engaged in the production and assembly of prefabricated modular structures.

The Head of Bashkortostan emphasized that construction should go on schedule. Radii Khabirov also instructed the head of the Ufa district, Viloriy Ugarov, to start planting large coniferous trees along the hospital perimeter in April.

«Never in history have we built such an important and technologically quite complex facility with a total area of 16 thousand square meters in record time. This is a kind of challenge for both our management team and builders. We need this hospital, given the scale of the republic. We must be prepared for any scenario and insure against the worst case scenario.» said the Head of the region.
