I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Russian Airborne Forces!

This year the holiday is doubly significant - the 90th anniversary of the formation of the airborne troops of our country is celebrated. Over the years, Airborne Forces units have come a long way from the first small detachments to the most modern and mobile type of troops.

The fearlessness, selflessness, and highest professionalism inherent in paratroopers - these qualities were most clearly manifested during the Great Patriotic War. Nowadays, when conducting operational and peacekeeping operations, «blue berets» adequately fulfill the tasks assigned to them and they are rightfully called the elite units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Our city has a special attitude towards the airborne troops. Today, employees, veterans of the Airborne Forces contribute to strengthening the security and well-being of our city, the patriotic education of youth, they are for the younger generation a worthy example of loyalty to the oath and perseverance, an example of the best traditions of military brotherhood.
