Sergey Grekov took part in planting trees as part of the "Garden of Memory" campaign

Today in Ufa, within the framework of the month of sanitary cleaning, landscaping and gardening, ecological actions on planting trees «Green Bashkiria» and «Garden of Memory» are being held in all districts of the city.

The Head of Ufa City Administration Sergei Grekov took part in planting trees as part of the «Garden of Memory» campaign in the Kirovsky district. In addition, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the City Council of Ufa, employees of the capital and district administrations, as well as a detachment of youth soldiers attended the event.

Thus, in the park near the new embankment of the Belaya River, the participants planted 60 bird-cherry trees. In total, more than 130 trees and 200 meters of shrubs have been planted in the Kirovsky district today as part of two environmental campaigns.

It should be noted that the International Action «Garden of Remembrance» was first held in 2020. Its goal is to create green monuments to everyone who died during the Great Patriotic War.

Sergey Grekov also examined the territory of the park and the underground passage that connects the embankment of the Belaya River with the garden of Salavat Yulaev.

In Ufa, in the spring of 2021, as part of the Green Bashkiria campaign, it is planned to plant about 2,500 large-sized trees of pine, spruce, birch, mountain ash, linden, maple, lilac and 355 meters of shrubs.

Within the framework of the International Action «Garden of Memory» it is planned to plant 330 large-sized trees of the spruce, mountain ash, lilac, bird cherry species with the creation of alleys in honor of the heroes of the war.
