On June 12, on the City Day, on the lower ground of the Toratau Congress Hall (Vatan Park), the grand opening of the traditional Koresh Open Wrestling Tournament for the Cup of the Head of Ufa City Municipal District Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan took place.

100 strongest koresh players from all over the republic, prize-winners of all-Russian and international championships, took part in the competition.

At the opening ceremony, the Head of Ufa City Administration, Sergei Grekov, congratulated all the participants on the holidays. He emphasized that the Bashkir school of Koresh wrestling is one of the strongest in the country and its traditions are honored, preserved and multiplied.

Young men born in 2003-2005 compete for the prizes of the competition. in four weight categories and men born in 2002 and older in five weight categories.

The results of the tournament will be published later, after summing up the results of the competition. Winners and prize-winners in all weight categories will be awarded with cups, medals, certificates and valuable prizes.

Ufa City Administration and the Koresh and Belt Wrestling Sports Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan are the organizers of the tournament.
