Athlete from Ufa won silver medal at Olympic Games in Tokyo

Timur Safin is a sportsman of the Ufa Sports School of the Olympic reserve in fencing, he has become a silver medalist of the Tokyo Olympics as part of the Russian national foil fencing team together with Kirill Borodachev, Anton Borodachev and Vladislav Mylnikov. In the final, the Russians lost to the French team with a score of 28:45 and became silver medalists. Bronze went to the Americans, who lost in the semifinals of the Russian national team.

- The fight was tough, as we gave many emotions in the semifinals. Perhaps this was not enough, - Timur Safin told TASS journalists.

Foil fighter Timur Safin is a graduate of the Ufa Sports School of the Olympic reserve in fencing and the republican boarding school of sports №5, Honored Master of Sports of Russia, champion and medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in foil fencing, three-time champion and medalist of Europe, medalist of the World Championship.
