Ufa and Perm share experience

The delegation of the capital of Bashkortostan led by Mayor of Ufa Ratmir Mavliev is on a business visit to Perm. Within its framework, on July 14, an agreement was signed between cities that have a lot in common: both have a population exceeding one million, cities of labor prowess, industrial centers of the country, and at the same time they are preparing for anniversaries - Perm for the 300th anniversary in 2023, Ufa for the 450th anniversary in 2024.

«At the level of our municipalities, there are best practices that we could enrich each other with. Of course, we will be able to find common ground in the areas of developing recreational and event tourism, improving the quality of the urban environment, improving social infrastructure,» said the head of Perm, Alexei Demkin.

«Perm is a very beautiful city, in many areas it is at the forefront of the federal agenda. Here, the most daring, creative solutions are used first. We look with great interest at Perm's experience in the field of arrangement of paid parking lots, modernization of public transport. A visit to the Perm embankment left a pleasant impression; it is full of life. It can be seen that a lot of work is underway to streamline the placement of advertising structures and non-stationary trade facilities. I believe that a strong Russia is, first of all, strong cities that communicate with each other and exchange information. This is especially true on the eve of the anniversaries of our cities,» emphasized the head of Ufa City Administration Ratmir Mavliev.

The Ufa delegation, which included vice-mayor Denis Ganiev and all seven heads of districts of the capital of the republic, is waiting for a rich business program. This is an acquaintance with the arrangement of the embankment, the reconstruction of recreation areas, streets and roads, the repair of building facades, as well as the work of the Perm-300 project office.
