Mayor of Ufa Ratmir Mavliev visited one of the oldest camps

56 people are resting here

Summer health campaign for children continues in Ufa. Ratmir Mavliev, head of Ufa City Administration, got acquainted with the organization of the work of the children's camps in the capital. Today he visited the «Chaika» camp, where 56 people are resting.

As noted by the director of the institution Maria Suvorova, the camp turns 86 this year. The number of those wishing to take a rest here is growing every year, but the capacity of the camp is small. Now the children's health camp works only during summer. But the base and the territory that it has, allows to think about its year-round use.

– This year we got into the reconstruction program to organize a year-round recreation program. The residential building and the dining room building will be reconstructed, - she noted.

During the visit, Ratmir Mavliev examined the buildings where the children live, the canteen, the library and office space. He paid special attention to security, food and leisure issues.

Today, the camp hosts «Sabantuy», various sports and cultural events are organized.

- The camp is quite large in area and needs to be updated. One of the buildings was built in 1936. Our task is to build new, create comfortable and safe conditions. In general, children's summer vacation is an important social direction. Today, about 800 children have a rest in Ufa at the same time. On the scale of our city, coverage is small, we need to increase it. Let's start designing new buildings, - summed up Ratmir Mavliev.
