The municipality honors the memory of peacekeeping soldiers killed in Afghanistan
More than 10 000 soldiers from the Republic of Bashkortostan carried out peacekeeping duty in Afghanistan. 343 people were killed, 2 500 were wounded and 6 missed in action. By the end of 2018, 8 423 Afghan War veterans have been living in the republic.
